Custom Tamahagane Naginata Naoshi wakizashi
- SOLD -
Behold, a more than gorgeous naginata naoshi dagger of tamahagane steel (steel made of iron sand) and fully customized in tensho hamidashi koshirae.
This blade is simply amazing. Just as the images posted yesterday, also this wakizashi is made in unokubi zukuri geometry. However, since this is a naoshi (~adjusted) type dagger, the idea is to have the geometry have more similarities to a naginata halberd, than a more common shinogi zukuri geometry.
The saya has been decorated in inro style and the originally Iriyamagata (uneven mountain) saya end has been replaced with a big horn saya-jiri.
The fuchi and tsuba are replaced with a custom copper fuchi and hamidashi tsuba whereas the kashira is of course in buffalo horn with the lacquered nubuck tied over it. Should that not even be enough then consider the antique menuki and genuine silk sazanami sageo.
